OUR MISSION
Abilities & More, Inc. is an agency committed to serving people with developmental disabilities and other mental health-related problems. The agency adheres to the highest professional standards in providing innovative services to persons with developmental/intellectual disabilities,at-risk youth, adults, and families in an environment of empathy, respect, kindness,
professionalism, and cultural diversity. The mission and philosophy of Abilities & More, Inc. are to provide adults and children in the
State of California with intellectual disabilities and other developmental/co-occurring disorders equal rights in support and services that will enable them to achieve their potential for
independence and productivity while furthering their empowerment and integration into society. As a provider of health related direct care services, Abilities & More, Inc. will emphasize the developmental model for its programs and services. This model recognizes the potential for development in each person and makes use of a progression of tasks and experiences to positively affect their cognitive and adaptive behavior. These services will be provided in different comfortable areas based on the service(s) of choice by the individual(s) where they will be taught skills on how to live and grow independently in society.

We work closely with families and everyone within an individual's support team to ensure that our services meet the unique needs of each person supported.
RATIONALE
Abilities & More, Inc. will promote the development of individuals and their families by providing a comprehensive system and a coordinated array of culturally competent services. Our
agency will support and assist persons with developmental disabilities to achieve independence, productivity, integration, inclusion, and self-determination. Individuals with developmental disabilities and their families will be educated and empowered to enable and support their achievement and happiness in a person-centered approach manner. Individuals will have the same opportunities and responsibilities to participate in community activities and live in their homes as citizens without disabilities in the same community. Our agency’s driving force is to empower individuals and ensure that their personal and human
rights, privacy, and dignity are preserved. Finally, Abilities & More, Inc. will continue to foster community integration and inclusion of all our individuals while promoting community-supported living and
interdependence
